With a school device, the machine will be connected to the local wireless network and a variety of network services, as well as ongoing support for both software and hardware issues.

Yes, AppleCare is included with the MacBook purchase!
AppleCare+: An optional two-year extended warranty product available during the purchasing process. AppleCare+ provides coverage for accidental damage incidents for a small service fee.
Personal Contents Insurance: We also recommend checking with your current home or contents insurer. Please note that many policies require you to specifically list or 'specify' high-value items like iPads for them to be fully covered against accidental damage or loss. This is worth checking.
